Gameplay PostmortemThe second Focus Group Test for TERA Online wrapped up two weeks ago, and now En Masse Entertainment is launching a new postmortem series of articles to detail and respond to some of the feedback they've received from the test.
Focus Group Test , or FGT2 for short, ran 60 hours and generated over 400 feedback threads, and the developers at En Masse are now sharing some of the gameplay feedback they have received as well as their responses in this latest article. Testers in FGT2 let En Masse know that the early levels of the Tera Gold game were pretty spon on, however, there wasn't as much consensus on the experience beyond level 12. Tera Gold Some players enjoyed the leveling pace, and others did not. En Masse agrees that there is room for improvement here and it appears they will be adding additional quests to the game's central hubs.
On the topic of gear, items, and gold aquisition, En Masse will be adding additional and more diverse (both visually and statistically) equipment items per level, in response to player feedback. As for gold, at least when it comes to FGT2 feedback En Masse got the idea that they got things "just right," however testers did caution that this may not be true for a live game economy. Coming as no surprise, FGT2 feedback included tons of class balance feedback. Class balance is a long standing issue for just about every MMO out there(Tera online Gold).
